Jessica Xie is a senior at Stuyvesant High School. At school, she is the co-captain of Ethics and Politics, a historian in the Classics and Certamen club, and an avid reader and critic of classical philosophy. In her community, she serves on her school’s honors society committee for events and service, reaching out to under-serviced organizations, and is constantly seeking how philosophical and civic engagement can influence politics. She is exploring the field of architecture and urban planning through the intersection between politics and Greco-Roman art/ideals. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to and learning about historical sites in NYC and debating millennia-old questions inspired by her books, even if most of those debates end in aporia.
