Iris Mrosovsky is a senior from Queens who attends Dominican Academy in Manhattan. As the art columnist and editor-in-chief at her school newspaper, she explores the intersection of political and social issues and art through journalism, and plans to further study this connection by majoring in art history and international relations in college. She became interested in art and art history from a young age after visiting museums around New York City, taking painting and drawing lessons, and travelling with her family. She also danced preprofessional classical ballet for about thirteen years, until June 2026, which further fueled her love and passion for the arts and shaped most of her teenage life. She hopes the Teen Curators program will teach her more about career opportunities within the museum world and art world as a whole, and help her improve her research skills, which can contribute to her journalism work.
