Fatima Surovi is a junior at Bard High School Early College. She migrated to the U.S. at the age of four and believes she lost her culture as she attempted to blend in with American culture. She feels wrong for leaving her culture in the dark, and believes that art can be made by anyone and anything. She is inspired by little details that artists include in their artwork that are not caught at first glance. Sometimes, she fears that she may be overlooking what an artist is trying to express through their artwork, but at the end of the day all forms of art speak to her.
