  • A black and white portrait of a smiling Sarah George, Teen Curator
  • Sarah is from Brooklyn, New York. She is interested in history and art. One of her hobbies is working on her artistic practice. Painting and drawing serve as a means to relax at the end of her school day. She hopes to use the knowledge and connections she makes in the Program to someday make an impact of her own in the art world.

  • My name is Sarah George and I’m a junior at the Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn. The artwork I chose to focus on is the painting Untitled from 1994 by Christopher Wool. I argue that in this piece, Wool’s use of stamping and layering highlights the contrast between divergent time periods of art–Baroque and Pop Art, and that the composition of the piece serves as a satirical commentary on art history and interpretation.
