The Hill Art Foundation is looking for graduate and undergraduate students with a background in Art, Art History, or Arts Education who are excited about gaining hands-on experience in a non-profit exhibition and education space in the heart of Chelsea. Interns contribute to the day to day operations of an art foundation, assisting a small team of staff in the coordination of current and upcoming programs and exhibitions. This internship offers the opportunity to further develop a knowledge about cultural institutions throughout the metro area and build upon a professional skill set through first-hand experience working with a wide range of arts and education professionals.
An intern’s tasks may include, digital archiving, social media, website documentation, research, day to day gallery tasks, visitor services, event and programs support, and additional independent projects.
– Undergraduate student studying Art, Art History, Arts Administration, Museum Studies, Arts Education.
– Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
– Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
– Working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign
– Some administrative experience is a plus
The ideal candidate is an undergraduate or graduate student, available two to three days a week (including some evenings for events) for a period of at least three months. This internship is paid.
